Who can apply?

The Rise Bursary will welcome applications from 17 +year-old students who are transitioning from school or college to university. You can sign up to be notified when applications open.

Applicants must:

  • be at least 17 on 31 August 2025
  • study at a publicly funded school or college
  • not be on a paid apprenticeship or on a paid training course

Applicants are:

  • encouraged to apply if considered in a vulnerable group
  • encouraged to apply if classed as neurodivergent

What is the objective of the Rise Bursary?

The objective of the Rise Bursary is to encourage more women to apply for Broadcast technology and Media courses and ultimately gain careers in our industry. We would provide them with financial and networking support to make exceptional progress in their studies and a structure to develop their careers.

Membership to Rise is free and is open to everyone working across, or aspiring to work in, the broadcast and media technology sector.
