This award will celebrate an organised and skilled Production Support Engineer, who represents the very best of our broadcasting profession. She has a strong understanding of the broadcast chain, offers outstanding troubleshooting skills; implicitly relates to relevant standards and demonstrates the ability to fault find from first principles. She excels in the high pressure and time critical broadcast production environment.

What the judges are looking for

• Knowledge of equipment and standards
describe ways in which the nominee has used her knowledge of equipment and systems to the appropriate technical specifications and standards.  Provide examples where she has ensured equipment is available at all times and that faults are replaced or bypassed ensuring operational continuity.

• Collaboration and teamwork
provide details of how the nominee has shown leading examples of collaboration with other members of the team to create outstanding content.

• Handling high pressure and time critical tasks
describe ways in which the nominee has established the root cause of an issue in the Broadcast production chain and resolved the situation through fault finding. Explain how they have logged and recorded events to prevent recurrence.
