About the Technical Operations Award
This award will celebrate a technical operations team member who has gone above and beyond the requirements of their day to day role to make a difference, whether it’s delivering outstanding client service on a particular project or service line, resolving a difficult problem or supporting a colleague or client to help achieve this.
Technical Operations encompasses all levels from junior operators through to technical supervisors and managers working across all broadcast services.
This generally encompasses OBs/live and non- live studio operations, transmission operations, MCR areas, libraries/dispatch, ingest, data IO and media management operations, editing support, QC, media workflows, onboarding and deliverables.
What the judges will be reviewing
We would like to hear about a recent example (in the last year) of how and why the individual has made a difference to a client experience or service delivery in the technical operations area.
This should include evidence or outcome in the example that proves there was a positive impact. i.e. positive issue resolution or a client or colleague written testimonial
As well as the above examples where the individual has demonstrated that they regularly go above and beyond their role or job description, this can be by way of a supporting letter from their line manager, supervisor or a colleague.
