Job Description - Commercial Account Executive

Contract: Full Time

Location: Hybrid - Bracknell, 2-3 days a week in office

What are we looking for?

Techex is looking for an enthusiastic, commercially minded Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their sales career, or looking to move into sales more permanently, who wants to build a career in the broadcast and media technology industry.

You'll manage a portfolio of smaller and developing customer accounts, helping them find the right Techex solutions, while working closely with our UK sales team to support relationships with our technology partners.

This role sits within the UK commercial team, working alongside experienced Account and Partner Managers who will support your development.

The role is based from our Bracknell office, with a hybrid mix of office, home, and occasional customer/partner visits.

Salary £40-55K depending on experience

The Role

Commercial Account Management

  • Manage day-to-day commercial opportunities for smaller and developing customers, including preparing quotes and Bills of Materials (BoMs) with guidance from senior team members.
  • Build a good working understanding of Techex's software products so you can talk customers through what we offer.
  • Keep opportunities moving, making sure customers get timely, accurate responses.
  • Learn to put together simple commercial proposals, with support and review from senior colleagues.

Supporting Technology Partner Relationships

  • Work alongside senior Account and Partner Managers to support relationships with Techex's technology partners (such as TAG Video Systems, Sony Nevion and Bridge Technologies).
  • Help coordinate communication between Techex and partner teams — commercial and technical.
  • Get involved in partner-related activity such as preparing materials, tracking actions, and supporting joint customer conversations.
  • Over time, build the knowledge to become a trusted point of contact for partner queries.

CRM and Pipeline Support

  • Keep customer and opportunity records accurate and up to date in the CRM.
  • Help track pipeline stages, close dates and deal values for your accounts.
  • Flag risks or opportunities you spot to the wider sales team.

Learning and Development

  • Receive structured onboarding and ongoing mentoring from experienced members of the commercial team.
  • Build your knowledge of live broadcast workflows and Techex's product range (tx darwin, tx edge, and our IPTV solution) through hands-on exposure and training.
  • Progress toward taking on larger accounts and more partner responsibility as your experience grows.

What You'll Need

  • A genuine interest in starting or growing a career in sales or account management.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills — comfortable talking to people and asking questions.
  • A proactive, organised approach — able to juggle a few things at once.
  • Comfortable learning new tools and technical concepts.
  • Any prior customer-facing, sales, or commercial experience is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Experience in tech, media or broadcast is highly preferable.

What's Nice to Have (Not Essential)

  • Some exposure to CRM systems or sales pipelines.
  • Interest in how live TV, sport, and media content gets from production to your screen.
  • An appetite to eventually work with international customers and partners as you grow in the role.
