Apprenticeships at the BBC
BBC Apprenticeships offer young people a great way to earn and learn – and turn a passion for media technology into an exciting career in a job they love. The BBC are currently recruiting for apprentices for 2023 across a variety of roles. Opportunities for 2023 include:
Technical Operator Apprenticeships – level 4
Based in: Salford | London | Birmingham | Cardiff | Hull | Nottingham | Jersey
Salary: £19,500, plus £4,918 London weighting for Jersey & London-based roles
Dates: This is a 22 month programme, starting in September 2023
Work in technical operations in sound and/or vision in newsrooms, galleries, studios, post production and on location. Read more
Data Driven Professional Apprenticeships. – level 3
Based in: London
Salary: £19,500, plus £4,918 London weighting
Dates: This is a 15 month programme, starting in September 2023
Join the Connectivity and Innovation team and outside broadcast crews to gather and analyse data. Read more

About the Global Academy and other media focused University Technical Colleges
The Rise Up Academy, works with a network of University Technical Colleges (UTCs), who offer a unique educational experience for years 10-13 students and help them to kickstart their media careers. Students benefit from a mix of hands-on, practical experiences and academic learning.
