Rise Mentoring North Europe

Application date extended to 21 April 2023 for the Rise Mentoring program

The Rise Mentoring Program – Europe is open to women working, or aspiring to work in the media technology industry based in Europe.  This could include women working in technical/engineering roles, through to those working in support roles, such as marketing and PR. It will run from May-November 2023.

How the Rise Mentoring Programme works

Our mentees benefit from a range of support, including:

  • At least 12 hours one-to-one contact with your industry mentor;
  • Monthly mentee meetings and access to industry events to help broaden your networks;
  • Regular training sessions – from careers mapping through to creating your personal brand and boosting resilience and assertiveness.
  • Peer-to-peer support from your fellow mentees, as well as guidance and support from the Rise team.

Desire Harauzek

My name is Desire and I am 32 years old. I am originally from Croatia and I have lived in Sweden for 6 years already. I have been working at Net Insight for 4 years and my current position is a Network Support Engineer. I have just started with that position now in April and earlier I have worked with returned merchandise and hardware testing. I have interests in Cloud and Edge computing. I am currently finishing a Masters program at Linnaeus university: Information Systems and I am additionally studying SDN and Cloud Computing at Karlstad University.

Eva Westberg Sandén

Eva Sandén Westberg is Development Manager for Nimbra Applications & Nimbra Edge at Net Insight. Eva joined the company in 2020 and has over 20 years of experience with software development, hands- on as well as in leadership positions, mainly within the telecom and defence industry. Most recently she comes from a R&D Manager position with Ericsson. Eva holds a master’s degree from Stockholm University in Computer- and Systems science.

Gloria Dwomoh

Gloria Dwomoh is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's scholar studying under the Digital Communication Leadership (DCLead) program in the Technology and Management track, currently in Denmark after spending a semester in Austria. Previously, she completed a Computer Engineering degree in Greece, presented at several tech conferences, and interned at Google, Microsoft, and Mozilla (through the Outreachy program). She believes in multidisciplinary learning and thus tries to immerse herself in different learning environments and merge knowledge acquired from diverse fields with technology.

Linnea Stenberg

Linnea Stenberg is a Business Developer and Market analyst at Net Insight. She entered the company in 2020 and has since worked closely with the CEO and entire Executive team. Linnea has been involved in several cross functional projects and currently works with the corporate strategy process and new product area Synchronization, supporting CTO and management. She holds a Master of Science in Innovation Management from KTH, Royal Institute of Technology

Jana Amirali

Jana is a B2B marketer with over 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and project management. Having previously worked as a Project Manager at Microsoft, in 2020 Jana joined augmented reality and virtual production software company Pixotope as a Digital Communications Manager. At Pixotope she develops and implements the latest digital marketing strategies to foster brand awareness across wide-reaching audiences. Jana holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Journalism from Comenius University and spends her free time drumming and experimenting with interior design.

Nathalie Liljebrunn

My name is Nathalie and I'm a 31 year old Swede living in Stockholm. I'm part of the Group Strategy team at Nordic Entertainment Group (soon to be Viaplay Group). During the last year, I have been driving the cross-functional project of launching Viaplay in Poland, the US and Netherlands.

Sanya Prasad

Sanya is a Controller with more than 11 years experience of maintaining an accurate P&L, helping teams understand profitability and building reports to enable sound decision making by management teams. Currently she works as Business Controller for Net Insight based out of Stockholm, Sweden and has a proven track record of setting sustainable & risk free processes & implementing system improvements. Sanya is skilled in business controlling, financial controlling, budgeting & forecasting, financial & business analysis, KPIs, accounting, & project management. She is a process solutions implementer with strong business acumen, with a Masters degree in Business Administration.

Tiffany Trautman

Tiffany has spent the last 20 years creating engaging, interactive content in a variety of fields ranging from hospitality to tech. She uncovered her natural talent for captivating audiences in her early 20s when she first took the stage as a stand-up comedian in Orlando, Florida. From there, she continued writing comedy and content for other artists, eventually finding a way to turn her favourite hobby into a proper career. Tiffany has a true passion for learning, earning herself a bachelor's degree in both nursing and computer science, as well as an associate's degree in aerospace engineering. A creative spirit by nature, Tiffany spends her free time painting portraits and creating content for a local podcast.

Karoline Storbråten

Karoline Storbråten joined Pixotope Technologies AS in May 2020 and is now the Regional Sales Manager for France, BeNeLux, Scandinavia, and the Baltics. Karoline has a vast amount of knowledge in the sales and marketing arena. Prior to Pixotope, she worked for leading international companies such as Fearnleys Asia (Singapore) and the NHST Media Group, where she managed global accounts for major shipping, seafood, oil & gas, and energy publications. As part of her responsibilities, Karoline dealt with clients from all over the globe travelling and participating in key international conferences and other sales-oriented events.

Mentors

Annica Lindeberg

Annica is co-founder & producer at One Planet Production. She is a skilled media executive with a solid content- and communication background and a core focus on creativity and business. During her career, Annica has had the privilege of working both in Sweden and towards the international market at TV-channels, production companies, a digital platform and a communication bureau. She has produced and executive produced TV-programmes, acquired and sold ready-mades and formats from drama to reality and documentaries and has worked with communication and marketing. Annica has also started her own production- and communication company focusing on storytelling that makes a difference. She very much looks forward to being part of empowering women in the media industry.

Crister Fritzson

Crister is the CEO at Net Insight. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration and assumed the position as CEO of Net Insight in April 2020 after being a Board member since 2013. Crister has more than 20 years of experience from the telecom industry and was formerly CEO and President of Teracom Group and CEO of Boxer. Most recently CEO and President of SJ AB. Crister is a Board member of Green Cargo AB.

Inger Marshall

Currently an Engineering Manager with Viaplay, my leadership style is best described as servant leadership, where my main responsibilities are to create the necessary conditions and environment for my teams to be able to do their jobs, to provide mentorship and support growth, as leaders, engineers, developers, and people. I believe in intent-based leadership, working closely together with product leaders, and where teams own the mandate to take decisions while emphasising the role of our customers, and how important it is to know them and serve them with innovative solutions that solve their problems and create necessary stickiness to our products. I have been a manager for most of my career, mainly within Tech, starting with games development, then moving into Telco and I really believe that leaders need to be compassionate and kind.

Kristian Dumky

Kristian Dumky is the CTO and co-founder of Cingularity, created in 2018. He designed and built the Cingularity global broadcast contribution and distribution platform from concept to reality. Prior to starting Cingularity Kristian has had several technical roles in the telecom and broadcast space including hardware support engineer at Netinsight and network engineer at Hibernia Media

Maja Wikman Ulrich

Maja Wikman Ulrich is an experienced Communications Officer, currently working for the Nordic TV distribution company Allente, a merger between Viasat and Canal Digital. She has previously held senior positions at Nordic Entertainment Group, known for the streaming service Viaplay, and at BSH Home Appliances, a part of Bosch Group producing home appliances under the brands Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau. Maja is passionate about communication that adds value to the business, both strategic external communications and inclusive, value based internal communications.

Marie-Louise Hanning

Marie-Louise Hanning is heading the Türk Telekom 5G synchronization deployment program at Net Insight. She holds a M. Sc in Electrical Engineering from KTH, Royal Institute of Technology. Most recently Marie-Louise headed the global Professional Services department helping operators, broadcasters and partners reach their business objectives and to overcome hurdles in network operations. Marie-Louise brings more than 20 years of experience from different senior positions at Net Insight focusing on scaling customer success.

Susanne Samaras

With more than 20 years of experience in a variety of positions with both regional and global assignments Susanne has a deep understanding on how to recruit, kick-start and manage high performing teams and successful products. She has a proven track record of being an instigator and leader of operational change as well as introducing new practices and new end user products. Susanne has held executive positions in highly competitive industries such as telecom, e-commerce and streaming but also as a consultant and agency representative in strongly entrepreneurial environments. Her latest employment was as Head of the streaming service SVT Play. After summer she will join Radio Sweden as Head of the department responsible for developing radio production platforms.

Tish Gilbert

Tish Gilbert is Head of Internal Communications and Lead of Sustainability and Digital Communications at Allente Group, a Telenor Group and NENT Group 50/50 joint venture. Tish is a New Yorker who has held brand communications and marketing executive positions at Telenor, ResMed and additional companies worldwide. She holds a masters degree from SKEMA Business School and a bachelors degree from Columbia University.
