Post Production Technical Lead

This is a exciting role where you will innovate the ongoing development of technology and workflows within Post Production and live sport driving technical project delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Project manage technical updates and upgrades collaborating with other teams within the business.
  • Work closely with User Support team, defining technical process, workflow, and direction, delivering projects into BAU.
  • Manage TX critical workflows to ensure deadlines can be met.
  • Oversee the requirements for technical support on live & OB productions
  • Assist Edit Operations with Entertainment Workflow development
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager of Finishing regarding Grading, Audio and finishing suites.
  • Advise on Operational management of all Post Production storage.
  • Liaise with support teams outside of Post to resolve issues.
  • Manage Post Production Contingency workflows.
  • Support senior management by understanding the wider Sport and Post Production strategy, contributing appropriate suggestions for departmental strategy and objectives
  • Manage operational process for digital media teams integrating with Post production.
  • Manage the continual development of our virtual platform on behalf of Post.
  • Feed into the Performance Development of the User Support Team
  • Awareness and evaluation of new Technologies such as AI, machine learning and automation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a similar Post Production operation.
  • Dynamic & Agile response to sport and entertainment requirements
  • In depth knowledge of Avid Production systems – Preference for ACSR accreditation
  • In-depth operational knowledge of EVS systems and workflows.
  • Deep understanding of Adobe applications and the importance of the correct integration and compatibility with other applications.
  • Great understanding of broadcast technical standards and workflows, codecs and file formats in relation to shoot, ingest, edit and transmission chains.
  • Experience with live sport, Outside Broadcasts, Entertainment and Sport shoots.
  • Highly motivated with positive approach to business and operational challenges
  • Excellent collaborative and client facing skills
  • Ability to take responsibility and co-ordinate project work
  • Possessing good organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Consistently exhibit and promote Sky Behaviours
