Rise APAC Chair

Following on from the successful delivery of the Rise APAC mentoring programme over the last three years and delivery of events at APAC industry trade shows, we are now looking for a new Advisory Board Chair to lead the Rise APAC Board and its strategy moving forwards.

This person will currently work or have worked in the technology and/or services side of the broadcast industry and will be passionate about bringing gender diversity to the sector, which is currently 84% male, with less than 2% female CEOs. 

They will have a wide network of vendors, end-users and other industry groups and ideally some board/committee level experience. 

The voluntary role will include: 

  • Organising, leading and reporting on quarterly board meetings 
  • Working with the APAC Advisory Board to produce events, such as In Conversation With sessions, Virtual Coffee Calls, face-to-face meet-up’s in major APAC cities and at industry trade shows
  • Working with the Rise HQ team to introduce and expand our programmes of work such as the Rise Mentoring programme and the Rise Up Academy 
  • Be an advocate for Rise – speaking at events, writing commentary for trade publications, contributing to podcasts, chairing events
  • Expanding the APAC Advisory Board 
  • Working with potential and current sponsors 
  • Reporting into Rise HQ on a monthly call with the senior team 

The estimated time commitment is 5-10 hours per month.
