Do you have experience working in a studio or Broadcast facility with some technical knowledge of Graphics, Virtual or TV production systems?

 

Our team is growing rapidly, and we are on the search for someone to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. We need someone with a reasonable understanding of Unreal Engine, Basic 3D modelling, and a love for getting to grips with the latest tech.

Your role will be based in Central London where you will be working in a live-TV environment. Your time will mainly be split between setting up virtual sets using in-house software, updating virtual sets within Unreal Engine when necessary and troubleshooting software/hardware issues that occur in the daily running of the shows.

 

Whilst your shifts can change from time to time to meet the needs of our client, shifts will begin in the afternoon Monday to Friday

What you’ll do as Junior Tech Artist:

  • Setting up shows using the in-house software following the daily live output schedule.
  • Looking after current shows and keeping the virtual sets up to date visually.
  • Liaising with the director and producers regarding updates to virtual sets for the current shows.
  • Making sure all virtual set-related software is performing smoothly.
  • Communicating with the TV gallery crew when necessary, Debugging all potential software issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all studio cameras are tracking and functioning properly.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A good technical understanding of Unreal Engine 4.
  • A Basic understanding of Unreal Engine’s Blueprints system.
  • A Good understanding of modelling in Maya or a similar 3D software.
  • Basic familiarity with working in a live-TV studio environment.
  • A dedicated individual, and a problem solver with great attention to detail.
  • A passion for learning and a general interest in learning new software.
  • Experience with Source Control, for example – Perforce or Tortoise SVN.

 

The following would be an advantage:

  • Familiarity with Cameras and Camera Tracking software (Such as Mo-SyS)
  • Experience with working in a live-TV environment, both in the studio and gallery
  • Previous graphics / virtual operating experience
