We are looking for a Manager who is passionate about getting the most out of video streaming distribution and the services that support this. You will perform a key role at DAZN Managing the quality monitoring and operation of our services and systems. You will work on enhancing our existing operation and deploying new services, contributing to the growth and enhancement of DAZN’s service.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with Video Streaming such as Content Delivery Networks to manage their operational performance. A large part of this role will be taking the lead on the service aspects of the distribution systems, how we they operationally work, how we measure that and how we report on that. As a result, you will be the key Distribution Technology stakeholder on delivering performance reviews, incident management and continuous development of systems and workflows to enhance this.
Ideally in a broadcaster environment you will have experience of working with the operational, technical and commercial aspects of delivering OTT video content and an understanding of OTT content delivery systems (including CDN, ASN, ISP, Security and Advertising. You will be familiar with developing and ensuring processes are in place that ensure: Operational and Service support driving quality of service and quality of experience. You be responsible for clear communication around the distribution performance of DAZN. You should possess excellent influencing and negotiate skills with the ability to see the bigger picture of the live streaming supply chain.
You will be part of the Distribution Technology team who are directly involved and responsible for DAZN content delivery. As part of the Playback Experience group who look after the entire playback chain from stadium to screen, the Distribution team leads the strategy, development, implementation, and management of content delivery systems.
This role is aligned to our Hammersmith office in London with a hybrid working pattern. There will be travel to the London and Leeds office needed. This role can also be supported part time or full time. The internal job title is Distribution Technology Manager

As our new Distribution Technology Services and Quality Manager you’ll have the opportunity to:
Own and focus Distribution Technology efforts on performance metrics, incidents, and reporting
Work closely with internal operational and engineering teams ensuring KPI performance and incident resolution and monitoring
Manage external providers ensuring they deliver on performance, KPI’s and contract terms
Develop best practice workflows and systems for quality monitoring, incident management and reporting.
Produce reporting documentation
Support the delivery of new technology systems, sports rights, and territories
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
Experience working on real time video streaming QoS measurement systems and data to track and detect and report on issues.
Experience with video streaming technologies in an operational environment
Understand what’s important to measure and resolve for live video streaming with a fantastic understanding of all the elements that make up a video streaming delivery service
Excellent with Multi CDN technologies and caching technologies.
Experience of creating, updating, promoting internal documentation, reports and process documents.
Even better if you have:
Knowledge of Encoding and Packaging Systems
Experience of working with contracts and legal documentation
Budget management and financial tracking experience.
