Boxer Systems are looking for an Experienced Engineering Manager. A key member of the team this is aPlayer / Manager” role and involves a split between hands on engineering and overseeing the department.

Boxer Systems, founded in 1990, provides professional representation, distribution and systems integration services to technology leaders and manufacturers of high quality, high performance digital products in the broadcast, film, post production, ProAV and media industries.

We are delighted to be expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for technology, workflow solutions and a high level of customer service. We are looking for someone with proven expertise in one or more of these fields: cloud, file based workflows, AV or IT networking.

Key partners include Telestream, Colorfront, AJA and Synamedia covering technologies in the IP Video, Media Streaming, Remote Production, Data Storage, Cloud, AI and Transcoding space.

Reporting to the company CTO, the Engineering Manager will work closely with the Engineering team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department alongside supporting the Sales team in a pre-sales capacity. They will stay up to date with all projects and support issues, and be responsible for team development and motivation with support from the HR department.

Key Accountabilities

·                Department and team management/leadership

·                Responsible for career and technical skills development of team

·                Support Sales team and manage setup of demonstrations and trade shows on and off site.

·                Work closely with Sales team in a pre-sales capacity

·                Build relationships with new and existing customers

·                Liaise with key suppliers’ technical management and support personnel

·                Responsible for quality of all engineering departmental output; pre-sales, commissioning & support

·                Overall management of projects and support, assignment of resource, identifying and mitigating risks, and acting as main customer interface on progress and escalation.

·                Regular report progress and any issues to CTO

·                Proactively identify improvement areas across the business and introduce improved processes as appropriate

Salary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year, negotiable with relevant specific experience
