Job Title: Technical Runner
Reports to: Head of Technical Operations
Based: Leatherhead with potential worldwide travel


Job Context
The Collectv is a fully independent technical TV service provider providing systems integration, media management and support for broadcast, outside broadcast and post-production systems. Our experience spans shows such as Too Hot to Handle (Fremantle), Dated & Related (Great Scott Media), Drive To Survive (Box ToBox) for Netflix, Dancing On Ice for ITV, Darts for Sky Sports to name a few.


Job Purpose
This is an entry level operational position, where you are required to work as part of a team delivering networks of video recording servers, logging systems and edit suites to major production companies and broadcast clients around the world. Responsibilities include:

General organisation and maintenance of our warehouse
Preparing equipment for dispatch including boxing up kit into flight cases and delivering equipment to location
Collecting equipment from locations and checking them back in, stripping down and cleaning
Running errands either on location or base to support the team and our clients

 

Key Accountabilities:

Logistical support including delivery and shipments
To assist in the preparation of equipment, selecting equipment from a given list with all associated cables and peripherals
To assist in outside broadcast and fixed rig environments

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Essential
• Willingness to learn and develop skills across all aspects of outside broadcasting, post production and fixed rig
• Strong inter personal skills to communicate effectively and be part of a team
• Able to plan tasks and prioritise effectively
• Able to work across a number of concurrent projects
• Good attention to detail, diligence in work
• Drivers licence


Desirable
• Some understanding of Windows, macOS and/or Linux operating systems
• Some understanding of scheduling systems
• Ingest/media management experience


Travel
Due to the nature of the position there will be the necessity for travel, both abroad and locally, so in addition to the above, the ability to be totally flexible is a key requisite of this role

The salary for this role is £23,800.
